STAMP - 3 WAYS!!!!!

Hello out there in creative land - Sandie here.  Been missing in action of late but I'm keen to show you what I've been playing with.

A little while ago Vicky showed you how to use a stamp three ways - well now it's my turn.

This is a fun thing to do and it's always something I have in mind when purchasing a new stamp - "how many ways can I use this?"

The following cards are made using the My Minds Eye clear stamp "Gertie" and I have also used paper ranges by My Minds Eye too.  (I notice that this stamp is now Out Of Stock - but Nicole has it on back order)
For the first card I have stamped a doily from the stamp set - 3 times.  I then cut them out and folded them in half to create a little banner.  I have also used some of the lovely twine Nicole has in her shop - this stuff is just so useful.  Other bits and pieces are buttons and trims.

For the second card I have created a larger card to fit a DL Envelope.
This time I stamped the doily stamp 2 times and the cut it in half.  I have added lengths of beautiful ribbons - brown/grey which looks more like a peppermint green colour, a beautiful green/white ribbon and a peppermint grosgrain ribbon. I then tucked the cut doily stamped images behind the ribbon. To be a little tricky I stamped the doily stamp out again, turned it over, drew a spiral onto the back of the image and then cut it out - just like you do to create a rose.  I then added my handmade rose to the card along with a metal charm and a wooden button.
I stamped the words and added a cute little lace butterfly and sequins.

(In this shot you can see the stamped doily pattern on the underside of the handmade rose - so technically speaking that would make it "stamp it 4 ways instead of 3............LOL.)

Finally - card number 3.  For this card I kept it fairly simple and went for the layered look.  I stamped the doily stamp onto 3 different colours of cardstock - vintage blue, cream and red.  I cut out the full size doily for the blue colour, then the inner layer for the cream and then finally the inside circle using the red.  I then attached a metal charm along with a My Minds Eye floral brad to the centre.  Once complete I attached it to the front of the card.  I have also used a couple of trims from Nicoles shop.
Stamped a sentiment and added some little Martha Stewart butterfly punches. I have been using a lot of butterflies on my work lately.  One of the main reasons being that when I have completed a card I have a few little bits of patterned paper leftover that I just can't throw out - so out come my punches and I punch away using up every little last bit.  You can also store any extra punched butterflies etc in a little container or zip lock bag to keep them contained and use them on another card.

There you have it - lots of little bits and pieces make up these cards.  You can use whatever you have in your stash.  This is just to give you an idea of "thinking outside the square" and ultimately to get the most out of your stamps.

If you have any questions - please leave a comment and I will be happy to help you.

Happy stamping everyone.

Luv Sandie
